For fine furniture and jewellery in Birmingham visit Artisan Alchemy

Artisan Alchemy Gallery is a leading outlet in Birmingham for bespoke furniture and contemporary jewellery. It stocks many of the UK’s foremost designer makers.

The gallery is housed in a former old factory space on Caroline Street, which had been left derelict. Local planners were keen to develop the area as a gateway to the Jewellery Quarter.

Owner Michele White says:

‘My daughter suggested I open my own gallery after we had been on a visit to London. At first I didn’t think it would be possible! In the end it all happened quite quickly. We came and looked around the building and decided it was perfect.’

Furniture design in Birmingham

The district is now flourishing as a destination for creative businesses and young professionals. Many are moving in to create a thriving creative quarter for Birmingham.

Michele has a fine eye for design, as an acclaimed maker of contemporary jewellery. She is pleased to see the Jewellery Quarter thrive, and helps promote the district at national and international events.

‘There’s a new restaurant, Folio, opposite. We also have the Eight Foot Grocer and a host of other businesses on the street. Each is contributing to the new community that is establishing itself.

‘We are just off the historic St Paul’s Square. There are also a number of galleries in our part of town. Consequently, the Jewellery Quarter is the perfect day out for art lovers and fans of British craft, jewellery and design.’
